2010 Ichanka Bonarda

Region:
Famatina Valley, La Rioja, Argentina

Tasting Notes

Taste notes:

It seems Bonarda is a natural fit with its surroundings here in the wilds of the Famatina Valley. Surrounded by mountains, planted alongside an olive grove, and acres of natural & virtually untouched wilderness, Bonarda thrives here. The aromatics of plum, cherry and hints of flowers, makes this wine instantly appealing. On the palate its suave and sexy. Rich plum, cherry, boysenberry fill the glass with hints of spices and floral notes. Bonarda at its best.

Reviews

The 2010 Bonarda received the same elevage as the Malbec. Smoky blue fruits, plum, and spice notes lead to a savory, straightforward, tasty wine that offers very good value in a wine meant for drinking over the next 2-3 years.
