2008 Heathcote II "Myola" Cabernet Merlot

Region:
Heathcote, Victoria, Australia

Tasting Notes

Taste notes:

The colour is ruby crimson, with a slightly more developed tone on the edge. The nose is fruity and is showing sweet ripe plums and red currants. After a while a more minty character develops, and there are spices as well, like pepper, nutmeg and quince paste. The finish is quite dry with a good level of tannin and acid that should give the wine a long life.

Reviews

Fresh and vibrant, this is tightly wound with fine tannins, offering tobacco-scented coffee and cherry flavors that push onto a lively finish. Needs time to soften. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2014 through 2018.
