2008 CLONAKILLA SHIRAZ VIOGNIER
1st April 2010 ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATEThe 2008 Shiraz Viognier is one of the finest vintages that I’ve tasted of this wine. Co-fermented with 6% Viognier, it was matured for 12 months in French oak, 30% new. The nose is a little closed and needs coaxing at this stage to reveal complex notes of smoky bacon and loam followed by licorice, red plums, crushed blackberries, peach blossoms and rose petals. Crisp acidity, medium level of very fine tannins and layers of savory and dark berry flavors. Very long finish. Drink 2014 to 2024.

2008 CLONAKILLA VIOGNIER
1st December 2009 ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATEThe 2008 Viognier, a wine raised in a combination of stainless steel, a bit of new oak, but mostly seasoned French oak. It offers up an alluring perfume of mineral, acacia, peach, and tropical aromas leading to a dry, medium-bodied, concentrated, complex Viognier that is among Australia’s finest examples. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

2008 CLONAKILLA "HILLTOPS" SHIRAZ
1st September 2009 STEPHEN TANZER'S INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLARBright ruby. Musky red and dark berries on the nose, with complicating notes of dark chocolate and minerals. Fleshy, muscular dark berry flavors are firmed by a bitter cherry skin quality and gain sweetness with air. The tannins are hidden by the musky fruit and only appear at the very end of the long, gently sweet finish. This is drinking well now.
