2010 ALTIVO "BARREL SELECTION" CHARDONNAY-VIOGNIER
1st December 2011 ROBERT PARKERS WINE ADVOCATEThe 2010 Chardonnay (50%) – Viognier (50%) Altivo Barrel Selection saw 30% of the Chardonnay go through malolactic with 30% of the total blend aged in new French oak for 4 months. White peach, apricot, and poached pear aromas set the stage for a medium-bodied wine whose oak is well-integrated. In the glass it displays lively acidity, good balance, and a slightly narrow finish that kept the wine from a higher score. Even so, it is an excellent value meant for drinking over the next 2-3 years.
