2008 FRANKLAND ESTATE POISON HILL DRY RIESLING
30th December 2009 PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE #186The 2008 Dry Riesling Poison Hill Vineyard is medium straw colored delivering an aromatic array of mineral, petrol, citrus, and floral notes. It displays ample fruit on the palate with hints of tropical flavors, lively acidity, and a refreshing finish. It has the acid structure to evolve for several years but can be enjoyed now and over the next 5-7 years. Frankland Estate is one of Australia’s premier purveyors of Dry Riesling. The 2008 releases are uniformly outstanding. Author: Jay Miller

30th October 2009 TANZER'S INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLARPale, green-tinged yellow. Wet stones, lime, grapefruit and green apple on the nose. Talc-y and tightly wound, offering zesty citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a strong undercurrent of zesty minerals. Dry, focused and pure, with strong finishing lift and insistent minerality. This would work with raw oysters. Author: Josh Raynolds

30th September 2009 JAMES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION 2010A little more Germanic in style, with talc and river stone character coming to the fore; the palate offers an intriguing combination of apple, lemon and some slightly riper more exotic fruit character; the finish is fine and very long, and exhibits distinguished line.
