2010 ALTIVO TORRONTES "VINEYARD SELECTION"
30th December 2011 WINE ADVOCATE #198The 2010 Torrontes Altivo Vineyard Selection is a blend of 92% Torrontes from Cafayate (the finest source for this variety) and 8% Gewurztraminer from an estate vineyard. It offers up a fragrant bouquet of tropical and pit fruits leading to a medium-bodied, mouth-filling, dry wine with a vibrant acid backbone and considerably more complexity than your basic Torrontes. It is an outstanding value meant for drinking over the next 12-18 months.
The new releases from Finca Eugenio Bustos include a number of excellent values. (Jay Miller)

2010 ALTIVO "VINEYARD SELECTION" TORRENTES - TANZE
21st January 2011 STEPHEN TANZER’S INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLARVery pale, bright yellow. Pure lemon, spring flowers and mint on the nose. Supple and juicy, with a hint of sweetness counterpointed by fresh acidity. In an easygoing style, but tails off a bit on the slightly harsh back end. 87 points (Stephen Tanzer)
