Murrietas Well has been growing grapes since the 1800s with cuttings from the famed Chateau dYquem and Chateau Margaux vineyards in France, and it continues to produce the highest quality fruit with the Wente family. Murrietas Well specializes in terroir-driven blends, with a limited production . With an unrestrained winemaking philosophy, they make the finest small-batch blends that consistently highlight the best of their estate. The blend for this wine is 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Petite Syrah, 21% Merlot, and 13% Petit Verdot. The 2018 vintage was moderate to warm in the Livermore Valley. Consistent weather allowed the fruit to get extra hang time on the vine, which accentuated the fruit and floral qualities even more. High quality wines for this vintage.
