The original property was purchased by the Phillips family back in 1956 and now third generation owner Bruce and his family, along with Vine Hill Ranch winemaker Francoise Peschon (2019 SF Chronicle Winemaker of the Year, former Araujo winemaker) have crafted a new wine from this vineyard to tell a more approachable, yet bold tale of VHR Cabernet Sauvignon Baker & Hamilton . 2019 Baker & Hamilton Cabernet Sauvignon is the inaugural vintage of this spectacular wine with a pedigree that already has Cult Napa Cabernet fans drooling with anticipation. Garys is one of the first shops to get this small-production, heavily allocated wine. This wine is classic Oakville with wonderfully complex notes of violets, cedar and pipe tobacco that layer onto deep blackberry fruit and a structure that is silky, bold and elegant with Drink me know! written on it. Enjoy it with a steak off the grill or bold, spicy Latin and Asian flavors.
