2016 Magna Carta Cellars Napa Valley Proprietary Red 750ml - 14172
Detail
David Choi’s vast experience in so many parts of the beverage industry eventually led him to Napa Valley. Looking back now, the path seems obvious and almost predestined. His love of Bordeaux and induction into the Jurade of Saint Emilion, the oldest wine society in Bordeaux, his Meirte Agricole award for working with the wines shaped what he has done with Magna Carta - producing left-bank style wines in Napa Valley. Choi recruited winemakers Peter Heitz and Scott Palazzo , both with distinguished careers of their own, and thus Magna Carta was born. The Magna Carta Proprietary Blend is sourced from top vineyards throughout Napa Valley and is a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Extended bottle age further emphasizes the complexity of the blend, which expresses itself with exotic aromas of cassis and dark cherry fruits, offering a layered and utterly seductive wine. Marvelous, mouthwatering mid-palate of red and dark fruit lifts with stunning flavors of dark cassis, raspberry, plum with a touch of cigar and clove. Finely polished soft tannins with lively freshness, finishing with impressive depth and length. Enjoy with roasted game, or flavorful firm cheeses .
