Boich Family Cellar Notes: Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper One of Napa Valleys oldest vineyards, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper yields ripe fruit full of balance and power. Perfectly trellised vines soak up morning fog from the San Pablo Bay, while the robust foliage of the vines protect growing clusters from summer heat. Today the vineyard is planted with some of the valleys most preeminent Cabernet clones. Wine Maker Notes The 2018 Missouri Hopper highlights the beauty and supple palate characteristic of this iconic site. The wine shows Indian spices, cassis, menthol, tobacco and a long, elegant finish. Drink now with a hearty decant or cellar for 15-20 years. Balance and concentration are evidence of the long life this wine has ahead of it. We recommend something with lots of spices for this one, like a Five-spice, or Pekin duck, and aged firm cheeses that you can imagine are basically complimentary to the ripeness of this wine.
