Detail
Founded in 1772, Veuve Clicquot is synonymous with the art of living. The House style distinguishes itself through the dominance of Pinot Noir which gives strength, complexity and elegance to our wines. The 2012 vintage was exceptional in Champagne. Despite challenges earlier in the year due to frost, the resulting crop was small but highly concentrated and of high quality. The Veuve Clicquot 2012 is is unapologetic and up front with aromas of candied citrus, yellow apple and roasted pear, with accents of green almond and hazelnut. The palate is more broad, finally with toasted brioche and pastry crust accompanying the crisp fruit and nuts from the nose. The bubbles are find and long lasting as youd expect and refresh the palate, leaving you thirsting for another sip. Enjoy this vintage Champagne with grilled scallops or halibut and creamy ripe cheeses like epoisses or camembert .
