What a wonderful anachronism this wine is! Chenin Blanc used to be widely planted in the Napa Valley, but today only a handful of acres remain. This comes from 60 year old vines in the Henry Ranch in Pope Valley. In the capable hands of Napa Valley veteran Chris Phelps, this is bright, fresh, and so succulent and fine. Golden apples, drippy comice pears, and fresh ginger make this so compelling.
