Chateau Montlandrie is situated in Cotes de Castillon and is owned by the brilliant Denis Durantou, owner of Chateu LEglise Clinet in Pomerol as well as vines with Chateau Saintayme, Chateau Cruzelles and Chateau Chenade. If youre looking for a wine which tastes like royalty but doesnt cost a fortune, Durantou pays the same care and attention to all of his properties. Castillon is located just outside of Saint Emilion on the right bank. The 2017 is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Like Clinet, the wine is rich, spiced, and creamy. Pair with braised ox tail or short ribs or aged Cheddar cheeses.
