Continuum Napa Valley 750ml - 10786
Tim Mondavi’s Continuum Estate has so many things going for it: A noble terroir, over 100 years of accumulated familial winegrowing knowledge (and a hardworking family to deliver on it), a beautiful package designed by Tim’s daughter Chiara, and a reverberating, ongoing refrain of huge scores, year after year. If this isn’t a first-growth of Napa Valley, what is? And unlike the first-growths of Bordeaux, who produce over 10,000-25,000 cases each per year, production at this family estate is remarkably modest: still only about 4,000 cases per year are produced from this hilly property on Sage Mountain, an area some refer to as Pritchard Hill. Can you call a rarity like this a smart buy? We will. With neighbors Bryant Family and Colgin trading well north of $500 per bottle, this perennial 100-pointer is still very fairly priced. We strongly recommend laying in at least a 6-pack in its beautiful wooden case. Keep that vertical going!
