Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger , Claude Taittingers search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 70s. In 1987 he selected a one hundred and thirty eight acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley. Wisely choosing Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the Taittinger style in Carneros . Often referred to as Americas Doyenne of Sparkling Wine, Eileen has spent roughly forty years in the wine industry, which makes her the most experienced sparkling winemaker in the United States. Spearheaded by Eileen, sustainability has been an important tenet of Domaine Carneros since 1987. Every three years, she sets measurable goals and reevaluates them annually to ensure that they are living as lightly on the land as possible, while producing fantastic grapes and wine. The Domaine Carneros Brut Rose has aromas of fresh red cherry and raspberry, spice, and baked stone fruit. The palate is lively with fine bubbles and a creamy mouthfeel.
