Detail
A Chardonnay from the new world with old world sensibility! The winery sits forty miles west of the city of Mendoza in the foothills of the Andes, one of the worlds premier wine growing destinations. Here in the cool Valle Escondido at one thousand meters above sea level, a very special clone of Chardonnay is planted: The Mendoza Clone. Renowned for its clusters of varying berry sizes, the Mendoza Clone produces wines of remarkable freshness and minerality. Green apple skin, white grapefruit, and fresh lemon oil with white flowers and quince. Medium bodied, minimal oak, zippy acidity and a mineral core. A true departure from the oaky style famous in California. Food Pairing: Poached Salmon Grilled Chicken Breast Linguine with Pesto Cheese Pairing: Fresh cows milk cheese such as Mozzarella or Burrata
